AN ACT TO RESTRICT THE DISTANCE PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAMS MAY TRAVEL FOR REGULAR SEASON GAMES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. A public high school football team may not travel a distance of more than one hundred seventy-five (175) miles from the location of the high school to the site of a game to compete against another team during the regular football season.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
